March 2012 Honoree
katie rose, RN, BSN
Katie identified a gap in nursing practice in the ICU that can negatively affect the quality of care patients receive. She took the initiative to develop a research project (to utilize foley catheter securing devices), sought donations from a vendor for the devices and submitted and IRB application. This has taken her months and she has continued to work on this project on her own time – all for the desire of improving patient care.
Thank you, Katie, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
