Katie understands what it takes to provide exceptional medical care, and makes every effortto support her unit and the hospital's mission.She has volunteered her time to partnerwith the Harrison Foundation to raise fundsfor the ICU waiting room remodel.Sheparticipates in ICU quality improvement projects, and is a member of the hospital's NurseQuality Committee.

While working in the ICU, Katie has earned hermaster'sdegree, obtained her Critical Care Registered Nurse Certification CCRN),andcaredfor patients with intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP),continuousrenalreplacementtherapies(CRRT), and post-op cardiothoracic surgery.
Katie has taught classes tothe Rapid Response Team on Sepsis, given evidence-based suggestions to policy revisions, and effectively collaborates with all departments to ensurethe best outcomes are achieved.
