Katie Schafroth, RN, BSN
Katie was floated to the emergency room to be a sitter for an 11-year-old girl. Katie took it upon herself to not only sit with the patient for safety but to interact with the patient. She played music, sang, and danced with her. Katie engaged the patient in conversation. She could have just sat in the chair and ensured the patient was safe but instead she made this little girl’s day that much better. Thank you, Katie, for being such a wonderful nurse. Your compassion towards this patient did not go unnoticed.
