Having gone through similar experiences at other hospitals; it makes it very difficult knowing that if we did not end up here with Katie my brother would not be here today.
Katie went above and beyond. We have such a large family and are always in and out of the hospital- we’ve had plenty of great nurses and great care but this Nurse is our #1. My 23-year-old brother was taken into the ICU due to internal bleeding. He was deemed to be okay but the nurse notified something was off. Katie stayed on it and thankfully she did. My brother’s blood pressure began to drop and drop fast- they later found out his hemoglobin had hit a 5. My mother was present with my brother and saw the life leave his body. They were so shaken; already exhausted due to the overnight ER stay and the ambulance transfer from Burnsville to Minneapolis. Katie stayed with him and got the right help ASAP. Katie could see how shaken my mom was and even went out of their way to offer my mom a warm blanket. On multiple instances, they went above and beyond to help T- grabbing ice and storing his food. Keeping us updated and even offering easy-to-understand terminology on what was happening + education photos/explanations etc. They were AMAZING. Having gone through similar experiences at other hospitals; it makes it very difficult knowing that if we did not end up here with Katie my brother would not be here today. I very rarely go out of my way to write reviews; this nurse was phenomenal in her care. She was so kind, easy to talk to, and welcoming! We were blessed with such a bright light like this RN, during a very dark time.
