Nurse Thornbury went above and beyond to help my 6 year old little boy feel very much at ease and it means a lot, because he is so scared of going to the doctor. By the end he was laughing with her and he was telling her all kinds of things about him. She didn't stop with just my son, she could tell how terribly upset I was about the fact that we've been dealing with this for almost 4 years now. She made me feel that she would make sure I got all the information I asked her for. She then explained even further about what my options were. When I had more questions, she never got irritated and explained even further. All this, with a caring smile that made me and my child feel very optimistic about our future options regarding his health.
Katie is compassionate, caring, and you can tell by the smile on her face when she walked in our room, that she truly loves what she does. Nurse Thornbury is the nurse that others should strive to become. She is the true embodiment of what a nurse should be.
