katie vanderzwan, MS, ACNP

Katie Vanderzwan is an RN MSN ACNP and soon to be DNP. She has been a member of the UIC clinical faculty for the past 5 years in both the undergrad and AGMS programs. Students have consistently commented that Katie is not only clinically excellent, but also inspiring as a nurse who cares for her patients. Katie's students appreciate her ability to provide context and real-world examples in her instruction. She was voted "Favorite Clinical Instructor" by the BSN class of 2016. As stated by one of her students "She is an amazing instructor with a clear passion for nursing and teaching. I am so lucky to have had her as a mentor"
