Katie was so kind and compassionate writing on mom's board to communicate what she was doing.
My mother B was life-flighted to MCR from Riverton. She is 95 years old and totally deaf now. We communicate by writing on a dry-erase board. Katie was our nurse in the ER and we wound up staying overnight in an ER Room. Katie was so kind and compassionate writing on mom's board to communicate what she was doing. Her gentle touch brought a smile to my mom. Katie was very thoughtful in explaining things to me and showing me where things were. She was always asking how she could help us. She helped relieve an anxious situation for me, as I have been my mom's sole caregiver for over ten years. Being from a small town this hospital was a bit overwhelming! To my surprise, in PACU was a smiling friendly Katie with more hugs and the same compassion and knowledge when mom had her surgery. She remembered my name and mom. She told us the other staff members' names. Everyone has been so kind and helpful, and we so appreciate it. Especially Katie!
