Katie Whitmer, LPN

Katie instantly spoke with a professional quality to her voice. She informed me that there was a team that would help with my care. Her knowledge is exceptionally good in all aspects of my medical needs. She believes in eye contact and expressive facial communication. She and the care team heard every word I said.

Katie cares if she has trouble locating valves for IV’s and does her best to be precise and gentle. She is consistent, never moody, even though she has long hours. She genuinely listened to me. She tried to get to know me and my personality. She established excellent rapport with me.

She attended to every medical need independently of me having to ask for my meds. She is not about “personalities” or personal differences. She allowed me to express my concern or ask a question without judgment or belittling me. She has restored my self-esteem.

I appreciate her welcoming and caring demeanor. Katie is the best nurse at NAH.
