Steller professionalism. Katie Woodring took care of my mother after receiving a new stent. Katie is vivacious and friendly, provides immediate follow-up, and has deep and overall knowledge to answer any question. The care my mother received from Katie was clearly a step above.
As background, my mother has unfortunately landed in the hospital often. While she is "in" I typically stay in the room from 7 am to 9 pm to be available when Doctors visit and generally provide support to my mother. I've seen a few nurses over the decades. Katie Woodring is a standout. There's a friendly demeanor during all of her visits. Often Katie stops by just to ask, "How are you doing?" She sets expectations with an easy, "I'll be back when I finish ..." and she returns very promptly! My mother was never made to feel like she was a bother.
Katie's follow-through is immediate on everything: help with understanding recovery, likely schedule of meals and medications; something simple like getting a cup of yogurt, or as uncomfortable as initiating a conversation with a Supervisor because my mother was very upset about an overnight incident.
