The care that Ti showed not only my mother but our entire family went above and beyond her scope of being a nurse. We were not allowed to be with her due to the COVID-19 restrictions. Since we were unable to be with her when first admitted, Ti would let us contact her via phone and speak to mom via speakerphone. Ti would explain to us how Mom would respond to our voices since she was unable to speak. She not only took care of her as a nurse, but she took care of her as if she was part of her family. This meant so much to us given the fact we were unable to be there. Examples include putting Chapstick on her and lotion on her feet. This seems like a small thing when written down, but it's a huge thing for my family and me. In our absence, my mom was well taken care of. If it wasn't for Ti, my family and I may have not been able to spend her last 24 hours with her. Because of her previous hospice experience, she was able to tell that mom wasn't going to last much longer. Ti was able to get us in (2 people at a time), as my mom only had hours, or maybe a day left. My dad spent her last night with her and my sister and I were with her when she passed. My mom's wish was to not die alone and Ti made that happen. MWHC made that happen. We are forever grateful for this amazing nurse and the MWHC team.
