Katlyn Phillips

One time in particular, I was at a gathering that was hosted to celebrate Katlyn beginning her journey in nursing school, and I had recently lost a loved one. Katlyn noticed that I was a little down and just not my usual self. She walked with me to the front porch and just asked me if there was anything that I would like to talk about. I did not want to take away from her moment and celebration, but I just broke down, and Katlyn was there to comfort me and allow me to show all of the emotion I had been holding in. Katlyn talked to me and soothed me for an hour, she should have been inside with friends and family celebrating herself but she took the time no matter how long it was to help me and make me feel so much better. That is just one of the many times I have seen Katlyn put others first in any situation.
