The situation and the news that followed could not have been worse. A young woman and her boyfriend are involved in a horrific traffic accident far from home. The woman is airlifted to St. John Medical Center, where emergency room nurse Katlynn Hannah is waiting.
"Katlynn stayed by my side for hours . . . and held my hand and cried with me when the highway patrolman came to confirm my worst fear. My boyfriend lost his life," the woman wrote. "Katlynn went above and beyond for me as I was six hours from home and had nobody to comfort me during this tragedy. I am forever grateful for her . . . she's my hero."
