My mother was in CCU and going down-hill at 7 p.m. when Katrina came on duty. I had just gone home to get some rest. Katrina called at 11 p.m. and asked us to come in. I was terrified. My mother's heart rate was 200 and BP 61/48. Katrina worked fast and smart. Between midnight and 4 a.m., she was "all over" my mom. She was able to turn mother around during her 12-hour shift from her not knowing who we were at 8 p.m. to sitting up talking to me at 7 a.m., breathing with much less effort. BP 90/60 and heart rate of 100.



I know that God put my mother in Katrina's care that scary night. She is very intelligent and thinks well under pressure. She has a sense of urgency and never gives up. My family and I are forever in her debt.
