Katrina Chin, RN

Katrina was the most informative and compassionate nurse I have ever met in any medical center or hospital. While spending the week in the hospital for my dad's last week of life, I was lucky enough to have Katrina for three days in a row. I felt grateful to see her when she came in the morning and sad when she left in the evening and another nurse took over. Katrina continuously worked to keep my dad in the most comfortable state while going the extra mile to explain things to me that I didn’t always quite understand from the doctors. It was just me there while watching my dad pass over the week and she went the extra mile to make sure I was comforted by her, the Chaplain, a therapy dog, you name it. I can’t express how much of a miracle I felt that it was to have Katrina as my dad's nurse in the CVICU. When my dad passed, she even printed out my dad's heartbeat at two different moments in case I wanted to get a tattoo or just have it as a memory, which I would’ve never even thought of asking for. I will forever think of her as one of the only “miracles” I was blessed with in one of the worst weeks of my life. I can’t thank Katrina enough for her hard work, true compassion, and love for her job and her patients.
