My 86-year-old father suffered a stroke. I had never experienced or known anyone who had gone through a devastating event like this. It was especially terrifying because my father, who has always been a vibrant, healthy, and active person, was suddenly unable to control the left side of his body and was heavily slurring his speech.

After he was admitted, I was unsure of what treatment protocols were available for him. Katrina was absolutely outstanding. She answered all my questions, explained everything she did for my father, explained why she was doing what she did, and performed her duties with skill, kindness, empathy, and respect. She is one of the best nurses I have ever had the pleasure of encountering.

At a time when many people are underperforming in their chosen fields, Katrina is a wonderful example of a skilled, caring, and compassionate nurse. This hospital is a better place because of Katrina.
