March 2011 Honoree
katrina hedge, RN
St. Mary’s is proud to recognize our third DAISY Award recipient, Katrina Hedge, RN. Katrina is a nurse on the Surgical Trauma Intensive Care Unit. The family member who nominated Katrina stated,
“My mother was brought in by Airvac from a motor vehicle accident. Katrina was wonderful! She would speak to my mom with such a nice tone as they were trying to calm her down. She allowed me in the room which is the nurse’s call. She put my mother’s needs first, not worrying about getting out on time or doing the admission first she took care of the patient. I can say this with the most critical grading because I too am an ICU nurse, I was so grateful to have a nurse as Katrina. She is an attribute to our health system.
Congratulations Katrina!
