Katrina Manning, RN

Kat consistently exemplifies the mission and values of Bon Secours in her daily work. She approaches each day with a positive attitude. Always willing to assist others and prioritizes the well-being of her patients and their families. On her birthday, Kat floated to another unit where much of her assignment involved comfort care and Hospice patients. Unfortunately, one of these patients passed away. The following week, Kat encountered the patient’s brother at a food truck, and they took a photo together.

She also attended the patient's funeral on her day off, and the brother shared the following sentiment:

“This young lady was with our brother until he passed. This nurse was phenomenal. She held his hand and talked with him not as a duty but with a caring spirit. She consistently updated us and provided valuable information in helping us make some difficult decisions. Her compassion, caring, and diligence she provided for the family are greatly appreciated. She doesn't even work on that floor, but they needed help, and someone assigned to care for Roger, to top it off, she attended his service on her day off.”
