Katrina Pittman, RN

Part of our strategic planning has been to place Safety, Quality, and Service as our pillars for growth. Having an eye for safety or potential safety issues is not a gift everyone shares. Katrina not only has an eye for safety, but will mitigate issues and makes suggestions for improvements when issues arise. She also takes strong ownership of the department. When patient issues arise she leaves no stone unturned in finding answers and advocating for the patient. One particular example is when a patient needed outpatient cardiac testing. This is not a typical function of the ER to arrange this, additionally, the patient was Spanish speaking. Days were spent working with an interpreter to get this arranged. Many would have given up or punted to me, but Katrina’s tenacity and commitment to our patients made her see it through! Thank you, Katrina, for your commitment to our patients and their safety!
