Katrina has obtained a national certification in medical/surgical nursing (CMSRN), and she is a very active member of our nursing team (completed the clinical ladder program, participates in the Med Rec committee and acts as a preceptor for students, interns, new grads and new hires). Her nomination included comments such as "Katrina is a wonderful, caring nurse," "she is very compassionate," "I could have not asked for any better nurse," and "I wish all nurses were modeled after her example."

Shelley Simmons, MSN, RN (3N nurse manager) states, "Katrina cares for her patients with compassion and integrity. She is highly respected by patients, coworkers and physicians, and her attention to detail fosters a holistic approach to the patient experience.
