Kattie Cutter, RN

Kattie was there for me during the birth of my 39.5-week stillborn. She was an amazing, loving person who held my baby, cleaned her, and dressed her up and cared for her in a way that I couldn't because I was so struck with grief and hatred to the world for taking my baby away from me. She was delicate with her words, caring and loving in her presence, and did the hard stuff when I didn't have the emotional capacity. She even went through the trouble of trying to see what color our daughter's eyes were. I think of her every day and wish her the best. I didn't realize until the day after being discharged that while she was presenting our baby to us dressed up in an angel gown - she, too, was bawling her eyes out. I'm sorry she had to experience this, too, and I wish she would have many good days in the years to come.
