Katy is an empathic, caring nurse who has made my every three week infusion treatments run seamlessly. I have a remarkably touchy vaso-vagal reaction despite having had multiple IVs with chemo, then immunotherapy infusions for nearly 2 years. She is calming, patient, and extremely talented in her approach and this had led to me having had no vagal reactions in over a year. Her professionalism and drive to know the details of my care so as not to miss anything that might help me are inspiring. As a physician, I find someone who not only understands the disease but also appreciates the person with the disease to be invaluable. Those of us with cancer are in excellent hands when Katy is caring for us.
