Katy is an exemplary nurse in our department. She is intelligent; she is willing; she is involved. She is always compassionate when dealing with patients, even when the situation makes it incredibly difficult. Her empathy seems to be unending. She is constantly looking for ways to help her colleagues, whether that’s with simple tasks during a shift or being one of the first to volunteer when precepting new employees. She is constantly seeking education to further her knowledge and skills. Providing better care for her patients is always at the forefront of her mind, and that is easy to see through the many projects she has spearheaded through the ED UPC. We are lucky to have her on our team.
