I had double bypass surgery on 2/19. I showed up in the ICU about noon or so and Katie was my nurse. Things were a little blurry as you can imagine, but I do remember how caring and busy she was. My wife told me she never left my side. She stayed right there and made sure everything that was hooked up to me was running the way it should. No breaks, lunch or supper, not even a bathroom break! You can't teach that. It's all her! I'm sure it's one of the reasons I'm recovering so well. I was real lucky to have her as my nurse and the hospital is lucky to have her as an employee.
