I feel that Kay has an outstanding work ethic, as well as being an awesome and capable nurse. I have had over 30 admissions in the past three years because I have Chronic Severe Asthma, Diabetes, and I have been diagnosed with Silent Aspiration Reflux. I have always felt comfortable when Nurse Kay took care of me because she is very knowledgeable about my treatment and she exudes confidence and wisdom which made my anxiety subside. She always has a smile on her face and is warm, sincere, friendly, empathetic, sympathetic and has great listening skills. Nurse Kay literally saved my life. I was getting a Picc line and Nurse Kay realized that it was taking too long and came downstairs to the 2nd floor where I was having the procedure. She stuck me with the glucose reader and my diabetes level was 33 which was severe and dangerously low. She immediately sprung into Super Nurse Mode and did the necessary steps to ensure that my levels came back to normal. Nurse Kay knew that I was in distress because I was so out of it. She said that she knew I was not right because I was not talking a lot.
Nurse Kay goes above and beyond the call of duty. She takes the time to get to know her patients, as well as the family that may be visiting. It is really commendable to see how she inspires her colleagues. My husband and I know that you will keep up with your outstanding work performance.
