Kay Marsicek, RN

Kay was covering for a different PACT team. Kay took on a difficult case where a Veteran was confused, and hallucinating; it was unclear how consistent she was with taking her medications as prescribed. This Veteran was not returning PACT team phone calls. Kay decided to provide a welfare check and coordinated with appropriate team leads and PACT team members. Kay worked with local police, the local ADRC, and with PACT SW to ensure transportation was arranged to the Madison VA. Ultimately, Kay was the constant in coordinating care between all parties, ensuring the Veteran received the medical attention she needed. It was later determined that this Veteran was being treated for a UTI and had abnormal brain scans. Kay went above and beyond to ensure this Veteran was cared for in the community and through the VA.
