April 2018 Honoree
kay nelms, RN
Kay started helping me right before Christmas. I just lost my mom and I was still in quite a bit of pain. She bought me Christmas Dinner, not because I mentioned it, just out of goodness of her heart. She has a cheerful and pleasant demeanor that helped me get my mind off my sadness and pain. She also helped my mom when she was struggling with an illness which was quite miserable to live with. She is a joy to get to know. Her smile and cheerful personality cheered my mom and myself up when we were at our worst. Besides her wonderful personality, she also was quite resourceful and knowledgeable in her field and helped us out with wound care and nutrition and general health care. She is a major asset to the nursing staff.
Thank you, Kay, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
