Kay took excellent care of my mother and my family. She went above and beyond in her concern when my mother was her patient having one of her many treatments or if she heard my mother had been admitted. Kay could be found coming to help get an IV in or just to visit. My mother had several health issues and would ask each time we were at MidState if we could stop in to see Kay. Kay always greeted us with a big hello and a hug. She wanted to know the latest in my mother's health status, would answer any questions and ask how she could help us. She did this all while treating a room full of patients with the same care and concern shown us. Often my daughter and grand babies would join us and Kay would greet them as if they were her own. As my mother's health deteriorated in the last month, Kay was there to hold her hand. I will always be grateful for the extraordinary care and concern Kay gave my family. Her complete devotion and compassion for all her patients is evident daily. Kay is truly an exceptional person, nurse and caregiver. I am blessed that Kay helped my mother and I through this difficult journey.
