Kaye is the ideal standard of a true leader. She cares deeply for her team and for the patients we care for.
True leaders know who they are and what they stand for. True leaders both know and communicate their values openly with the people they lead, creating an atmosphere of certainty and trust. True leaders have integrity as the very core of their influence. True leaders mobilize others and inspire them to strive toward the destination. They take initiative and demonstrate the courage and fortitude to make things happen.
Kaye is the ideal standard of a true leader. Kaye cares deeply for her team and for the patients we care for. Every decision she makes starts with, "Is this better for our patients, or could this potentially harm them in any way?" The irony of this is that Kaye does not run a certain unit/floor. She manages one of the largest group of frontline caregivers throughout the hospital and yet maintains this mentality.
Kaye has a high standard of care which she makes an expectation for her staff. Her standards of fairness and consistency do not change regardless of who you are. Her "Gold Standard" has been set and embedded in our team.
Kaye has a unique gift of being deeply personal while also managing all of the logistics involved in organizing the float pool. Although she has always been an excellent manager, she has particularly shined during the past year with the pandemic. Because of the example she has set, I come to work ready to give 110%.
