March 2026 Honoree
Kayla Clement, BSN, RN
From the moment I brought the students to the unit, we all felt immediately welcomed. Kayla is always excited to assign students and is a great resource. Helps coworkers nonstop and goes above and beyond.
One of my students had a patient who was due to be terminally extubated. I observed Kayla assist the primary RN with getting the room accessible for the family to visit and pay their last respects. As the patient's family was visiting, Kayla went back to the nurse's station and began to hand-make little keepsakes for the grieving family.
This touched my heart at how compassionate Kayla was and how important the little things are. Kayla exudes all of CHI's core values.

Thank you, Kayla, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
