I am writing to express my deepest gratitude for the exceptional care provided to my mother during her recent stay at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center. From the moment she was admitted, we were overwhelmed by the compassion and professionalism of the entire nursing staff.

In particular, I would like to commend Nurse Kayla Davis on the 5th floor D section at the Oncology ward for her extraordinary dedication and kindness. Her empathy and understanding were invaluable during such a difficult time. She went above and beyond her duties to ensure my mother's comfort and well-being, even by making handmade signs on the room's door to inform male care providers not to enter to accommodate our religious needs. She did not wait for solutions to be provided for problems. Rather, she took the lead to solve them efficiently and quickly.

Kayla's ability to connect with my mother, who does not speak English, was truly remarkable. She even learned a few phrases to communicate with her directly and made every effort to make her feel at ease. Her patience, compassionate communication, memorization skills, and unwavering commitment to my mother's care were truly inspiring.

Kayla demonstrated exceptional qualities that made a profound impact on our family. Her performance was exemplary, as she was always attentive to my mother's needs and administered medications with precision. Her kindness and compassion were evident in every interaction, as she treated my mother with respect and dignity. She was always willing to share her knowledge and expertise, explaining procedures and answering our questions patiently.

Kayla's attention to detail was impeccable, ensuring that every aspect of my mother's care was meticulously addressed. Her understanding of my mother's needs was remarkable, as she seemed to intuitively know what she required. Her tenacity and discipline were evident in her unwavering commitment to providing the highest quality of care. She has demonstrated a sixth sense of healing; her performance was five-star excellence.

Her empathy, kindness, sharing, knowledge, compassion, attention, understanding, tenacity, discipline, and outstanding performance were truly inspiring, as she demonstrated genuine concern for my mother's well-being. Kayla's communication skills were excellent, always taking the time to explain things clearly and respectfully. Kayla is a natural-born healer with a gift and passion for what she does and evidently will be very successful in her profession becoming a top performer.

Beyond her professional duties, Kayla took the time to learn about our culture and share our similarities. Her joyous vibe illuminated the room every time she entered the room, creating a positive and uplifting atmosphere that breathed new hope and desire to keep moving forward despite the difficulties and challenges ahead, and she became a beacon of brightness in our darkest times. We are grateful to her forever and her parents who have raised an exceptional person, and thankful to God that we have crossed paths with such a beautiful and valuable human being whose care and compassion provided us with hope and renewed our faith in humanity.

Kayla is not just our nurse and friend; we consider her a family member now. We love you, and thank you for being you!
