Kayla is highly respected by patients, coworkers, and administrators alike.
As a patient of Kayla Finzen's I am pleased to nominate her for the DAISY Foundation Award. Kayla embodies all the Characteristics you would want your nurse to possess. I have had a chance to get to know Kayla and watch her work. I have found her to be unflappable whether it be from multiple admits in one day, a patient meltdown, to being the only nurse covering two wings with only one CNA to help cover the territory. She remains calm, collected, and does her job while never losing her focus on her patients. She is not afraid to assume extra responsibility when needed. She treats each patient equally and provides excellent care to each and every patient. She is very adept at putting her patients at ease, thus taking away the anxiety patients face and finding comfort when needed the most.
Kayla is highly respected by patients, coworkers, and administrators alike. Her coworkers follow the example she sets and the Rehab wing runs smooth when Kayla is on shift. She is grace under pressure and there is no indication of the challenges she faces daily. She has a very strong work ethic. This is displayed each and every shift; Kayla is usually early for her shifts and she seldom leaves until way after her shift has been completed. Having watched and interacted with Kayla for the past few months has affirmed that she is a top nurse and one who would be a worthy recipient of the DAISY Foundation Award.
