April 2024 Honoree
Kayla Johnson 2024, RN
Kayla has cared for myself and my family members many times over the years. When I had a massive postpartum hemorrhage at home, Kayla cared for my family and me. We had a very mediocre ED experience, BUT Kayla turned it around. Recently, my uncle was found unconscious at home and brought to the ED via EMS where he was coded for 45 minutes. I was working when this was happening, unfortunately, and was one of the first family members present. Kayla left my family and me with such amazing care and compassion. It’s not an easy thing to tell a mom and dad that their son has passed. Kaya did a great job, and we, as a family, are SO thankful for her. She is an exceptional human being and nurse.
Thank you, Kayla, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
