Kayla Lang 2024, RN BSN

Kayla goes above and beyond for her patients. She is a nurse in the OB ICU at Magee-Womens. Kayla took care of me on postpartum day 7 for pre-eclampsia with severe features requiring a magnesium infusion. I had stopped responding to labetalol at home and I had blood pressures of 180/110s and the worst headache of my life. After a STAT head CT and some Ativan I was admitted to the OB ICU scared out of my mind. My sweet baby boy, M, stayed at home with my mother to protect him from cold/flu season. My husband accompanied me to the hospital. Magnesium therapy feels like you are being cooked from the inside out. Kayla brought me multiple ice packs and a fan. We cracked jokes and made small talk about life. Kayla took every complaint on magnesium seriously and was constantly in contact with my OBGYN. She made me feel safe when I was scared out of my mind. MWH is lucky to have Kayla Lang on staff. I am so glad she was able to take care of me at Magee. Kayla is an angel on earth.
