April 2017 Honoree
kayla lawson, RN, ADN
When I arrived, I was very sick and very weak. I needed assistance to do practically everything. It was a shot to my dignity to have to ask for help, but I did and compassion is what I received. She gave me loving smile, making me feel like I had some dignity left. Kayla became more like a friend. I looked forward to her stops in my room talking, laughing and making sure my needs were met. Kayla became some sunshine in my dim situation. I am very glad to be leaving, but also glad to have Kayla by my side and on my team as I recovered.
Thank you, Kayla, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
