Kayla's nominator spent several days visiting her loved one in the hospital. Each day she witnessed Kayla's kindness, patience and passion for care. In her personal experience with Kayla, she noted how Kayla took time to explain everything her loved one would need, the care she was receiving, and the medication she was on. This gave the family peace of mind when they couldn't stay with their loved one. The most striking thing was when the nominator witnessed Kayla sitting on the floor with a patient in their room. The patient looked scared, and Kayla was with them every step of the way, offering support, comfort, and encouragement. Her care was not unnoticed.
