Kayla Maiden, BSN, RN

Kayla is such an inspiration to work with. As an SRNA I aspire to one day demonstrate the care, attentiveness, and compassion she demonstrates. Not only is she an excellent teacher, but she's also an excellent team player. It's not uncommon to find her helping the SRNA's with assigned job duties. The one incident that truly inspired me was when I found her handwashing a patient's clothing that was soiled in urine and blood. He was worried about his clothing, so she took them and washed them for him in the shower. The appreciation and joy on his face were such a gift to witness. She treats her patients and their families like her own family. Her cleanliness and orderliness are one of my favorite two qualities. We joke about it often. She will make time to go into her patients’ rooms and tidy up by taking the trash out, cleaning the side rails, and side tables, tidying up their belongings, and sweeping the floors if there is debris. When I say she provides TOTAL CARE, I mean that. She's such an excellent nurse. We are so blessed to have her in Critical Care. I hope you all will consider honoring her for her excellence.
