I am a 25-year-old who has endometriosis and was able to conceive our own son. I came to triage a few days before my induction date due to itchy hands and hypertension. After being told I was being induced that day due to cholestasis, I began to worry about what my time at Magee would look like. After two long days of labor, I was finally able to deliver my sweet baby boy and move from LDR to the 3rd floor Postpartum unit where I met the most kind, knowledgeable, informative and caring nurse. Kayla went above and beyond to clearly explain all plans and processes with my partner and I, which always put our mind a ease. She was so gentle and caring with our baby boy and even with our guests. Kayla was truly the best nurse I have ever interacted with. I believe she needs all the credit in the world for being so passionate and knowledgeable while being kind. Thank you, Kayla!
