The start of our relationship with Kayla started a year ago. My partner T had to come in weekly to have a paracenteses. Kayla and T built a relationship where T really looked for Kayla for care and her soft spoken kindness. They would share stories about her home renovations and her horses. It eased T's mood. T would spend about 5 hours in the Surgery Center each week. T passed in November 2023, and Kayla came to his visitation. This meant the world to me. I have been fortunate to get to know Kayla as a co-worker and as a friend.

I was scheduled to have a colonoscopy and Kayla was scheduled off the day that I was scheduled. She caught wind of this and came in on her day off to be my nurse. She explained everything that I was to expect and all the care that needed to be completed at home. Sauk Prairie Healthcare is so lucky to have Kayla as an RN. She is an exemplary nurse.
