The exemplary care given by Kayla to my mother during her 12-day stay was fabulous to say the least. My reason for nominating her was because she inspired everyone watching her by how she treated her patients, my mother in particular. I witnessed deep care and compassion as Kayla looked deeply into my mother's eyes while holding her hand as if she were her own mother. Kayla's voice was always calm and loving whenever she spoke to Mom. She made my mother feel like she was Kayla's ONLY patient (she was not) always giving her all the time she needed to talk or whatever her requests were. Not only that, but Kayla provided this same care to my husband and to me as we struggled to understand our own emotions of worry. Kayla is truly an extraordinary nurse deserving of this honor and MORE! In my many interactions with nurses taking care of my mother and other family members, Kayla is the best ever!! Thank you!
