I was admitted to be induced for the birth of my first child. I was overwhelmed with emotions and confusion as this was not only my first ever stay in a hospital, but my first child. I met Kayla within an hour of being admitted and she immediately calmed my nerves. By the end of her shift, I felt as if I had made a new friend who was caring for me, not just a nurse. Her compassion and kindness and calmness are qualities I admire greatly and truly appreciated as I navigated the next 60 hours in the hospital. After being moved to post-partum, Kayla came down to check on me and meet my new baby girl. It was nice to feel like I was being treated as a friend, not just another patient. Kayla truly is a one of a kind person and nurse!
