Kaylan went above and beyond her duties as my nurse during my stay at this hospital. Kaylan always made sure I was comfortable and in need of nothing. My GYN wouldn't do my hysterectomy without me being cleared through a kidney doctor. My appointment with the kidney doctor was not until much later and I was in severe pain so Kaylan took the initiative to find me a kidney doctor that would see me in two days, made me an appointment and sent my labs and paperwork to them so I can have my surgery as quick as possible. I am a diabetic and have been in and out of hospitals most of my life and I haven't seen a nurse that would've taken it upon themselves to make sure I could get the help I needed to have this critical surgery to stop my pain and complications.
Kaylan is very caring and compassionate about her job and patients. When I broke down in tears because I didn't know what to do, she assured me it was going to be okay and she went to work and made it happen.
I believe she deserves to be recognized for her caring, compassion and selfless act of kindness because she didn't have to take time away from her hectic job to help me but she did and this shows her dedication to her patients and to the hospital.
