We had a challenging patient on 3E recently that created challenges for not only the nursing staff but all those involved in their care, including the surgeon. On Monday, I was sitting at my desk when I saw Kaylee walking by. It was her day off, so I questioned why she was here. Kaylee stated that she was visiting this patient. She had taken care of the patient over the weekend and had developed a bond with this patient. She stated the patient's hair had become matted, so she brought the patient in some detangler for her hair. The physician was very grateful for the rapport that Kaylee was able to establish with both the patient and her family. Great job, Kaylee!
