Kaylee always kept a positive attitude and in doing that, she helped my wife relax while getting rushed into the delivery room.
My wife was admitted to the hospital at 37 weeks of pregnancy because she was having spikes of high blood pressure. We were very concerned for her wellbeing as well as the baby's. Inside the womb, the baby had a heart rate normally in the 140s, but 3 or 4 times it unexpectedly dropped down to the 60's. Kaylee was our nurse that day while my wife was being monitored. We were both nervous wrecks, and Kaylee did everything and more in her power to put our minds at ease and assure us they were going to take the best care of us. She explained to us every detail of what they were monitoring, why they are monitoring it, and assured us that they will do everything to make sure the baby is ok. She sat with us in the room for more than 30 minutes when I expressed concern and did not leave until she made sure that we had no questions.
Whenever we called her into the room with the bed remote, she rushed into our room so fast that we that she had teleportation powers! She was constantly in contact with my wife's doctors and updated us on what they were saying the entire time. After the 4th time the baby's heart rate dropped, Kaylee showed true compassion and I saw how hard she was working to make sure a delivery room opened up for an emergency C-section.
Even when things were critical and taking a downturn, Kaylee always kept a positive attitude and in doing that, she helped my wife relax while getting rushed into the delivery room. I truly think she helped save the life of the baby who had an Apgar score of only 4 when he was delivered. If we had a nurse who was not on top of the situation and did not have the compassion of Kaylee, things would have turned out differently. I will always remember this as the gold standard for how nurses should treat their patients. Many, many, many thanks to Kaylee!
