As an educator, Kaylee can communicate expectations of initiatives with ease in a concise and clear manner. She provides 1:1 education when needed.
It is my privilege and honor to nominate Kaylee Tolvo for the prestigious DAISY Award. Kaylee displays and exemplifies attributes that are essential to the clinical nurse educator position and a DAISY Award nomination.
Kaylee was given the responsibility of an added unit as an educator. She stepped in without hesitation to aid with education with grace and knowledge when we lost our educator.
As an educator, Kaylee can communicate expectations of initiatives with ease in a concise and clear manner. She provides 1:1 education when needed. Kaylee is a role model to nurses on our unit as she leads by example. She provides immediate feedback when the staff asks questions.
Kaylee has great working relationships with her peer educators, who have seen her growth in the last year by leading different projects. Her relationships with nurses on our unit are amazing. The staff sees her as always available, dependable, and always willing to step in on the floor when needed.
I most appreciate the collaborative relationship we have as we have navigated many new employees, new initiates without complaint, adding a new unit to her responsibilities as an educator, all while holding me accountable and reminding me that there is always the other side of an issue or opportunity that needs to be considered.
