Kalyn took care of a patient who is a 27-year-old woman with Down Syndrome who had suddenly lost her mother. The patient has no family with the means to care for her. She had come to the hospital to be evaluated before being transferred to Skilled Nursing to await placement in a group home. Because of the pandemic, none of her family could visit, but Kalyn took amazing care of her. She brought her Gatorade and pizza and made sure she would eat and drink. Kalyn even made a frame to protect a picture I had given her of her and her mother and brought her clothes since she didn't have any. The patient is so thankful for Kalyn and will always remember the compassion and excellent care she provided. She made a great impact on her life.
