Kaylyn was persistent and diligent in arranging this surgery. It was successful and I am overjoyed that she had the intuition and compassion to accomplish this for me.
Kaylyn is an excellent nurse and has definitely surpassed my expectations. She is very knowledgeable and explained clearly without using complex medical jargon. She checked up on me constantly and I never felt alone. Her bright and sunny disposition greatly improved my outlook. She made me positive about myself and more confident. When I showed her my two amputated toes from diabetes, she said it was a normal sight and I should not be concerned. The way she said it boosted my spirits tremendously! I no longer felt self-conscious. What a relief. She is so compassionate and empathetic. Exactly what you want from a nurse.
I have been to St. Agnes, Clovis Community, and Adventist Hospital in Selma and Reedley in the past two years and Kaylyn is far superior to any nurse that I have received care from. Kaylyn is young yet she has a passion for nursing and truly shows that energy. That feeling passes on to the patient and helps them heal from the inside. She is a tremendous member of your staff. I went to Kaweah Delta for diabetic edema in my legs.
While I was receiving treatment for this, I mentioned to Kaylyn that I had an appointment with a cardiologist to perform a defibrillator implant in the future. She asked me if I would like to have the implant performed while I was in your hospital. I agreed and she went out of her way to contact the cardiologist on duty, and he agreed. Her insight and imagination saved me hours of a repeat registration on a subsequent visit. She was persistent and diligent in arranging this surgery. It was successful and I am overjoyed that she had the intuition and compassion to accomplish this for me. It shows real concern and thinking outside the box. This is the main reason I felt compelled to nominate her for the DAISY Award and why I have been recommending your facility to my friends and family.
