My wife was a patient in the surgical ICU, where she had been for a few days. Kaylyn was sent down here from the Neuro ICU.

Kaylyn was extraordinary. She sat and talked with my wife. My wife was on the vent for a few days and was very uncomfortable, and Kaylyn gathered a team to get her in a stretcher chair to alleviate some pain.

Kaylyn came down to see us even when she wasn't working in the surgical ICU. She took hours to detangle her hair and braid it. My wife wondered if Kaylyn was coming back every day. My wife was removed from the vent and unfortunately passed a day later, but Kaylyn was able to come and see her before she passed.

 I invited Kaylyn to my wife's memorial service, and she showed up. Our family is forever thankful for Kaylyn and how lucky we were that she got sent to take care of my sweet wife.
