Kaysha was able to stay calm and still give directions as needed on the unit.
Kaysha is always willing to help and assist with anything that we need on the unit. We had a patient who was having a seizure, and at the same time, we had another patient fall. Kaysha came to the room that the patient was seizing in and jumped right in. She made sure that the patient was turned on his side, and she began suctioning him because it was needed. She immediately reached out to the provider. She had to call the pharmacy because we only had a partial dose of Ativan in the pyxis. She then reached out to the Unit Manager who went to another unit to get some Ativan from our sister unit so that the patient could get his appropriate dose. We received the Ativan and the patient was able to be stabilized.

Kaysha was able to stay calm and still give directions as needed on the unit. She also advocated for the patient to be transferred to a higher level of care. She is always a great resource and stands out when she is present. The unit runs smoothly because she is always calm in chaotic situations (which we have a lot of in this unit). We know that we can trust her to do what's best to maintain an environment that promotes healing but also teamwork and enthusiasm. Thanks, Kaysha.

While being attacked by a patient on 3W, Kaysha quickly came to my aid, took control of the situation, and ran to pull the appropriate medication, all while keeping all staff calm and protected. Kaysha made sure that all staff and the patient were not injured.
