KC Hendricks, RN
Barstow Community Hospital is pleased to recognize KC Hendricks, RN, as its latest recipient of the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses. This international award, explicitly created for nurses, recognizes those nurses who go above and beyond the call of duty while caring for our exceptional patients. Nurse Hendricks was nominated for the DAISY Award by several of her patients during the third quarter of 2024 and selected by the hospital’s nursing leadership as the winner.
One patient wrote the following, "She was an outstanding nurse to me and my baby. She made me feel so comfortable and made my stay feel at home. She is an amazing nurse."
Another patient said, "KC was special. She helped me a lot with my labor from start to finish. We truly appreciated everything she did for us and our newborn."
The Director of Women’s Services and KC’s director said, “I nominated KC for the DAISY Award because she embodies everything that the DAISY Award stands for. She is kind, caring, and compassionate -- putting patients and families at ease as she cares for them. It doesn't matter the situation or circumstance; she ensures that every single patient under her care is treated with kindness and love.”
