I took a phone call from a patient's family member tonight who wanted to make sure Keara Strayer was properly recognized for providing outstanding care. The caller explained that Keara had taken care of her grandfather for a couple of days. She commended her on her genuine concern for the patient's well-being. She noted the positive way Keara interacted with her loved one and could tell that she was passionate about her job and patient care. She stated that Keara's wonderful personality always brightened her grandfather's day and mentioned how much they appreciated her humor and sweetness. The caller just could not say enough about Keara.

I would love to add that I am not surprised to hear a patient raving about Keara. She is one of the most caring and compassionate nurses I have ever had the pleasure of working with. She is sweet and considerate to both her patient's physical and emotional needs. I've seen her cry with and for her patients, give massages, and do things that go above and beyond to ensure her patients' comfort. She exhibits the same kindness and consideration with her coworkers and is always ready to lend a helping hand to whoever needs one. She is a true DAISY Nurse.
